Happy Fall!

We had a fantastic Summer with our street sales. We sold 3 days a week and decided to offer everything on the cart for a dollar! Our customers loved it! We'll continue to be out on the street on Mon-Thurs-Fri as long as the weather is nice.

Once it starts raining, the online orders start pouring in. We are now offering our goodies for the holidays! We have lots of items to choose from and are adding more as the holidays change.

Busy Baking Cookies

Hello Everybody! I know we haven't been posting for a while, but we've been filling large amounts of cookie orders. The most popular by far has been Chocolate Chip!

Sugar Free Muffins

We have been experimenting with sugar free bakery items and have discovered that we get much better results altering a regular recipe than trying to make from a "sugar free recipe".

We have found these muffins to be delicious! We got the recipe from our old Better Homes and Garden cookbook and just substitute Equal (we like this MUCH better than Splenda - not so much aftertaste) for the sugar.

You can add just about anything that you like - bananas and cinnamon, walnuts and maple flavoring, cranberry with orange zest, poppyseeds - the combos are endless. This time we chose to add raspberry extract and fresh strawberries - YUMMY!


Best Ever Muffins:
1-1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup sweetener (we use Equal) - you can also add a couple squeezes of honey in addition
1 egg
1/3 cup oil
2-1/2 tsps baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk (I sometimes substitute with 1/4 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup milk)
Mix all ingredients together and then add the flour and any extras you want!
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Makes 5 jumbo muffins.

Street Sales 2/2/12

We will be back on the street this Thursday from 12noon - 5:00 pm (or until sold out).

Menu includes:

Individual 4-1/2" pie tarts - single crust (sweet potato, almond pecan, oatmeal, pumpkin). These are not tiny pies! They are equal to a slice of pie for only $2.50!!

Individual 4-1/2" double crusted pie tarts (apple and peach). These tarts weigh in at nearly 1/2 pound and are only $3.00!!!

Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, M&M Sugar, and Almond Butter Spritz Bitz cookies for $1/package.

Cranberry bread for $5 a loaf or $1 for a Jumbo Cranberry Muffin.

Homemade cranberry sauce - made from organic Oregon cranberries - for only $3/jar.

Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sometimes you really don't want a fancy cookie. Perhaps you want something that reminds you of your childhood.

We offer several varieties to choose from such as Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, and Oatmeal Raisin.
